How our directory works
Our marine business directory is built from publicly available commercial information — the same kind of information a business publishes so customers can find it. It exists so boaters can find a mechanic, dealer, marina or broker near them.
Because a lot of marine work is done by one person out of a truck, we hold personal details back by default. An unclaimed listing shows the business name, type, city and state only. Street address, phone and email stay private until the owner claims the listing.
Once you claim your listing you decide what shows. A one-person operation can keep its street address off the public page permanently and still show a phone number and website.

Pick your state
States with a comprehensive consumer data-privacy law are marked. The rest have no such law as of February 2026 — other rules may still apply, and you can always contact your state’s Attorney General.
Common questions
Why is my marine business listed on OutboardListings.com?
Business directory entries are built from publicly available commercial information so boaters can find marine services near them. A listing is an entry in a public business directory, not a personal profile.
Can I have my business listing deleted?
Public commercial listings are generally preserved so the directory stays accurate and complete. We correct and merge listings on request, and we review genuine privacy concerns — such as a one-person business whose address is a private home, or a business that has closed — case by case.
How do I fix wrong information or remove a duplicate?
Use the contact form and choose “Edit a Listing or Remove Duplicates.” A person reviews every request. Claiming the listing is faster and lets you edit it yourself any time.
Do you publish street addresses and phone numbers?
Not until a listing is claimed. Unclaimed listings show city and state only. Once an owner claims a listing they choose what shows, and a one-person business can keep its street address private permanently.
