The marine industry has trade shows, forums, Facebook groups, and a thousand YouTube channels. What it does not have is a dedicated podcast platform built by and for the people who actually make their living on the water. Today that changes.
OutboardListings.com is launching MARINEmic℠ — a full podcast platform purpose-built for marine repair shops, dealers, manufacturers, boat builders, tournament anglers, lake-life influencers, and anyone else with a story worth telling about the boating world.
Why the Marine Industry Needs Its Own Podcast Platform
Podcasting has exploded in every other trade — construction, automotive, real estate, fitness — but marine has been left behind. The content exists, but there is no centralized platform that connects hosts with guests, handles sponsorships, and gives the audience one place to find everything marine-related. MARINEmic℠ fills that gap.
Seven Show Formats
We are not doing one-size-fits-all. MARINEmic℠ launches with seven distinct episode formats, each designed for different conversations:
- Flagship Interview — Deep-dive conversations with marine industry leaders
- Dealer Sit-Down — Candid conversations with dealership owners and GMs
- Manufacturer Spotlight — Behind-the-scenes with brands like Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda
- Warranty Mediation — Both sides tell their story; we mediate live on-air
- BATTLE ROYAL 🥊 — Two pros debate a hot marine topic, audience votes the winner
- Co-Partner Episode — Joint episodes with marine media outlets and influencers
- Deposition-Style — Hard-hitting Q&A on controversial marine industry issues
12 Topic Categories
Episodes are organized across 12 marine-specific categories: outboard repair and diagnostics, boat buying and selling, dealer spotlights, dealer compliments, racing and performance, lake life and lifestyle, fishing and angling, DIY maintenance, marine technology and innovation, legal and warranty issues, manufacturer spotlights, and BATTLE ROYAL debates.
The 50/50 Revenue-Share Model
Most podcast networks take 100% of sponsor revenue and pay hosts a flat fee (or nothing). MARINEmic℠ does the opposite. Certified hosts who bring their own sponsors to an episode keep 50% of the sponsorship revenue. A $499 sponsor means $249.50 in the host’s pocket. Every episode. No caps.
Studio-Quality Recording via Riverside
All MARINEmic℠ episodes are recorded using Riverside — the same platform used by major media companies. Each participant’s audio and video is captured locally and synced in the cloud, which means studio-quality output even on a mediocre internet connection. No special equipment required beyond a laptop and a decent microphone.
Pricing
- Certified Host: $199 one-time fee (includes certification quiz, host profile, and platform access)
- Episode Sponsor: $499 per episode (logo, mid-roll mention, show notes link)
- Advertiser: $99 per 30-second spot
- Guest: Always free
Coming Soon
MARINEmic℠ is currently in pre-launch mode. We are accepting applications from hosts, sponsors, and advertisers now. The first episodes are expected to drop in Summer 2026.
If you are a marine professional with a voice, a story, or an opinion — we want you on the platform.
