Fort Myers Offshore Sets Record With 75-Boat Spring Fun Run
Fort Myers Offshore (FMO) just wrapped up the biggest event in its 19-season history. The Spring Fun Run, presented by WMF Watercraft & Marine, drew a record-setting 75-boat fleet through Southwest Florida waters — and Scrapyard Media was there to capture every second.

What Is Fort Myers Offshore?
FMO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit powerboat club based in Southwest Florida. Their mission goes beyond fun runs — they raise funds and award academic scholarships to local high school graduates pursuing higher education.
Now in its 19th season, the club runs 8 events per year, ranging from day trips to Marco Island and Cayo Costa beach raft-ups, to multi-day overnight treks like their recent Hawks Cay weekend in the Florida Keys.

Why FMO Matters
This isn’t just about fast boats and good times. Every FMO event includes silent auctions, raffles, and fundraisers that go directly to student scholarships. Custom firearms, VIP experiences, detailing kits, engine service certificates — they pull out all the stops to raise money.
The club requires all participants to wear PFDs while underway and captains must use lanyard kill switches. Safety first, always.

If you’re in Southwest Florida and you’ve got a performance boat, FMO is the club to join. Membership gets you into most events for free, and you’ll be running alongside some of the nicest boats on the Gulf Coast.
