Lake Havasu Boat Show & Desert Storm 2026: Two Weeks of Western Boating at Its Best
If you’re anywhere near the Southwest this April, Lake Havasu City, Arizona is the only place to be. Back-to-back blockbuster events are turning the desert into the performance-boating capital of the Western United States.
35th Annual Lake Havasu Boat Show — April 17–19
Kicking off today, the Lake Havasu Boat Show is the largest outdoor boat show in the Western U.S. Held at Lake Havasu State Park (Windsor #4), it features:
- 140+ exhibitors displaying over $50 million in watercraft, UTVs, and PWCs
- 65+ boat brands — fishing boats, pontoons, center consoles, and high-performance sport boats
- Many boats built right here in Lake Havasu City
- Live entertainment on the Radio Central stage
- Kingman Cornhole Championships (Saturday, April 18)
- On-site food, concessions, and beer gardens
Admission: $10 adults (cash only), kids under 10 free. Parking is free. Leashed dogs welcome.

Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout — April 22–25
Just days after the boat show wraps, the desert roars to life with Desert Storm — consistently ranked among Performance Boats Magazine’s top five poker runs in the nation.
Thursday, April 23 — Street Party
McCulloch Boulevard shuts down and transforms into a mile-long showcase of multi-million-dollar performance boats. An estimated 20,000 spectators pack the street from 1–9 PM. Free admission.
Friday, April 24 — Parade of Power & Poker Run
At 11 AM, first responders lead a procession of high-performance boats through the Bridgewater Channel and under the iconic London Bridge. After the parade, participants hit five card stops across the lake. The day ends with a private dock party at London Bridge Resort with 25% of the poker pot going to charity.
Saturday, April 25 — Shugrue’s Shootout
The main event. Drivers push boats to nearly 200 mph on a 3/4-mile controlled course at Site Six. Nearly 80 speed runs throughout the day. The fastest male and female drivers are crowned King and Queen of the Desert, competing for the Jones Family Cup and a $20,000 cash purse.
Viewing: Free from the bluffs at the end of the Island District, next to Site Six.
